Whilst every sector under the agricultural umbrella has its own unique challenges, there are also many synergies between them. Our experiences and relationships with farmers in the arable sector have enabled us to conduct a range of projects in the animal health sector where knowledge of agriculture in general, has opened doors to co-operation from both farmers adviser's and other industry professionals.

Focus groups aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of advertising for animal health products is one example, where the success of the groups was as much about being able to relate to the broad issues of the respondents as it was to the focus of the discussion.

Veterinary professionals are a key group for research/ consultations who often respond more favourable to the IBR approach of a senior researcher with practical farm experience than a more junior researcher from a remote agency that has no knowledge of on farm activity.
